Professional background: I have spent nearly 20 years assisting people with career development, workforce development, and human resource / recruiting related activities. My experience includes leadership roles at private companies, educational institutions, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. I have dedicated significant time and effort to understanding the positions and interests of job seekers, workers, and employers. My work involves collaboration, leadership, and consulting with many organizations. Over the years I’ve worked with fantastic companies and organizations including Albion College, Gallivan, White & Boyd, P.A., Greenville County Workforce Development, United Way of Greenville County, Greenville Technical College, Greenville Works, Greenville Society for Human Resource Management, and Greenville CAN.
Educational background: I recently earned a Ph.D. in International Family & Community Studies from Clemson University. As a researcher, I seek to continually develop a nuanced understanding of workforce development issues that affect families and communities throughout the world. In 2008 I attained a Master of Arts degree in human behavior and conflict management from Columbia College. This degree allows me to make meaningful contributions to my field through innovative problem solving. I earned my undergraduate degree in political science from Miami University. I am also a Class of 2009 Aspen Institute Marano Fellow of the Sector Skills Academy.
